As part of our recipe for growth and opening of our new Belfast facility, we are looking for a Area Sales Manager NI to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a leader looking for a rewarding career experience within an industry renowned, global organisation.


Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the DCI (Driver Check-In) team and in doing so ensuring that team processes are complied with on a daily basis using the most efficient and accurate methods to reduce inventory losses while ensuring the customer experience is as positive as possible.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Put in place a catalogue of Standard Operating Procedures for all DCI Team processes and responsibilities.
  • Ensure all key tasks are covered as per business requirements
  • Ensure DCI Team training and development plans as outlined by the Inventory Manager are carried out within agreed timelines
  • Reporting on the day-to-day management of the DCI Team
  • Monitor performance of the team and individuals through metrics as agreed with the Inventory Manager and put in place measures to improve performance where necessary
  • Review and update current processes with a view to ensuring the team is working as efficiently and productively as possible
  • Strive to harness Sysco’s technological resources and ensure all practices are in line with our sustainable goals
  • Track root cause of issues and work closely with the Inventory Management and/or Operations Management to implement and track effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Work closely with all departments regarding all areas which impact DCI processes and adjustments
  • Lead and participate in ad hoc projects as required
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Inventory Management Team.

Requirements:

  • 3 years + Inventory experience in food distribution
  • 2 years + supervisory experience
  • Third level qualification or certification in a related discipline advantageous
  • Excellent IT skills and numeracy skill with ability to analyse and interpret data quickly and accurately
  • Ability to develop and manage KPIs
  • Proven ability to solve practical problems as they arise and implement solutions effectively
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Strong knowledge of all applicable industry regulations
  • Ability to apply all relevant policies in a consistent, timely and objective manner
  • Capable of working collaboratively with peers and colleagues from other departments on a daily basis
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment hands on office and floor approach
  • Leads by example – This is a key Operations Role and is flexible and willing to work adjust working week to meet business requirements
