Food Safety Officer (Evening Shift)– Ready Chef, Dublin

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Food Safety Office – Ready Chef, Dublin, a role which will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to maintain our core ethos here are Sysco – keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.

The role requires a strong candidate who can ensure that the reputation of the business is maintained through implementation of robust Food Safety Standards.

This is an evening shift role and the successful candidate will be required to work from 3PM to 12AM 5 days per week (weekend availability is essential as this roster is 5 over 7)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and prioritise technical and quality requests, ensuring all actions are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Lead supplier and product approval activities, ensuring compliance with customer, legal, BRCGS and internal requirements.
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the site's BRCGS certification, including audit preparation and closure of non-conformances.
  • Ensure that all product related customer complaints are investigated, reported and completed in a timely manner
  • Analyse quality data and produce KPI reports, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assist and support product recalls / withdrawals when required.
  • Deputise for the Quality manager when required.
  • Liaising with staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the highest possible standard of Food Safety and Quality is continuously achieved.
  • Deliver Food Safety, HACCP and Quality training to new and existing colleagues.
  • Ensure records are maintained in accordance with corporate and auditing standards.
  • Support internal audit schedule.Report and action any non-conformances. Carry out Corrective and Preventive Actions to resolve issues.
  • Ensuring good manufacturing standards are maintained on the production and warehouse floor.
  • Support customer and third-party audits.
  • Review and approve product specifications and technical documentation.
  • Food Safety Culture: Foster and drive the Food safety culture agenda.
  • Ad hoc duties assigned by the Quality manager according to the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in a recognised food /science/quality discipline
  • Experience in food safety and quality procedures and policies
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
  • Be a highly motivated individual with can do attitude
  • Be a team player with ability to work on own initiative
  • Demonstrates integrity and accountability
  • Flexibility in handling multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
  • Customer focussed with excellent communication and computer skills
  • Strong organisational skills
