Management Accountant

Key Accountabilities:

  • Key participant in the day-to-day Finance function working across multiple entities
  • Strong focus on cost of goods reporting and associated variance analysis
  • Drive consistent and clear reporting on a weekly and monthly basis to the senior management team showing true underlying performance vs plan and forecast (including FX impact, volume changes, cost inflation, discounts, rebates and waste)
  • Understand and drive business performance by identifying, owning and developing the commercial KPI’s and related dashboards and reports
  • Identification, planning and execution of internal projects to drive change and improvements in the area of responsibility
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver as needed
  • Manage the month-end financial reporting process for related financial statement areas and adhere to reporting timelines
  • Participate in the year end statutory audit process and other external audit requirements
  • Reporting and analysis to provide insights to senior management and leadership team to aid business decision making
  • Planning, forecasting and analysis of cost of goods
  • Balance sheet reconciliation process
  • Automation agenda related to area of responsibility

Requirements:

  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; a naturally enquiring approach, with strong commercial mind-set and acumen – demonstrable by reference to previous work experiences
  • The candidate should demonstrate a substantial knowledge and understanding of management accounting procedures, with the ability to work accurately and in a detailed manner to meet strict deadlines
  • Creative & innovative individual with a strong ability to identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Foodservice industry / FMCG experience desirable but not essential
  • High competency in MS Excel and database systems
  • Experience of Microsoft ERPs an advantage but not essential
  • Experience in data analytics / process automation highly desirable
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Ability to build and develop collaborative relationships and to influence stakeholders
  • Resilient attitude and desire to see things through to completion
