Payroll Manager (12-18 Month Contract) - Newcastle West, Limerick

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Payroll Manager (12-18 Month Contract) - Newcastle West, Limerick a role which will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to maintain our core ethos here are Sysco – keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Reporting to the HR Director, the Payroll Manager will be responsible for the payroll function of the business. This role will manage a team of 5 Payroll Analysts and 1 Project Manager. The role will work closely with the HR Business Partners and support the regular payroll activities of the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Overseeing the processing of multiple payrolls for business units in Ireland and Northern Ireland and providing accurate information for external partners

  • Providing Compensation and Rewards costs to the senior management team

  • Provide expert, balanced and professional advice and coaching to management stakeholders on all reward and benefit related matters

  • Design and implementation of new variable pay plans as required, including ongoing support for the design and / or refresh of annual incentive programmes

  • Establishing a comprehensive network and keeping up to date with key developments in rewards & benefits, practices, rules and regulations to ensure our reward offer stays relevant

  • Monthly accruals, prepayments, analysis and postings in relation to all Compensation and Rewards

  • In collaboration with Finance, Assist in preparations of monthly statements and annual audit requirements

  • Maintain and develop supporting policies and procedures as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager gained ideally within a large complex multi-site business

  • Previous experience of operating Irish & UK Payrolls

  • IPASS or similar qualification

  • Experience of a computerised Time & Attendance system

  • Understanding of employment law and how it relates to reward and pensions

  • Experience of developing effective communication related to reward initiatives is also highly desirable

  • Comfortable with leading and implementing projects across multiple stakeholders

  • Good consultancy and relationship management skills

  • Strong ability to analyse and provide insight from internal and external data

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience of reporting from HR systems
